1858 there is a court case whereby Margaret's brother Anthony & John Malone appear to be fighting over their father's will.

Thanks for that both of you

Hard to believe that yesterday I knew nothing about him and now I feel like a brother.
So I take it the family had fallen on hard times, I am left to wonder if Francis had a drink problem, cause of death was an abscess of liver.
Ships doctors were not the most highly valued of medical staff during that period.

Speaking of Auld labourers from Cork a lot of the survivors and casualties of the Annie Jane were poor folk from Ireland I am struggling to find any of their roots in comparison the gentry even impoverished are easy. Looks like a lot were from Cork.
Could you cast your eyes over those two lists and see if any inspiration comes to you.

I will update the web site tonight with Mr Goold's origin. Only another three hundred and ten to go  :'(

Thanks again Allan
