Ketton baptism lookup please for Mary Mould c1814
« on: Monday 28 September 15 10:13 BST (UK) »
Hello
Can anyone see if they can find a Mary Mould baptised in Ketton in about 1814 please.

I know there was one on 2 Oct 1814 in Apethorpe but I have already ruled that one out. My Mary Mould went on to marry James Jeffries in Leicester in 1834, why Leicester?? he came from Deeping St James.

Thanks
Heather

There is a Mary Mould bp Ketton 1810 dau of William and Ann.
There are also siblings John 1808 and Benjamin 1812 - do these seem possibilities.
Do you have her on census - I found her in Barnack in 1851,61 &71.

Thanks Forte

That is a likely one, by the time she gets to the 1881 census her age is 71, so a 1810 birth is possible.

In 1841 they are in Barnack:
James Jeffries 27 Harness M  born in County N   (he was Deeping St James)
Mary              27                  born in County N    (she was Ketton)
William            6                   born in County N     (he was Ketton)
Betsey              1                  born in County Y  (she was born Barnack)

Just looked again at the 1881 and that is another Mary Jeffries, not this one.  Oh dear, now I am doubting everything about this one!!!

Also on my tree I had the name Thomas as Mary Mould's father, no mother, but can't find where that has come from... that's the trouble with 20 years of research!!

I cant find her in 1881 but there is a death in 1891 Stamford Dist - a possible but more likely the Mary b Apethorpe as she is in Stamford on 1881 cen.

She is with James in 1841,51,61 & 71 always in Barnack with birthplaces of Deeping St James and Ketton given each time although her birth year does vary slightly  but on the whole I think this is them.
Happy hunting.
