Previous topic - see especially reply #9. Why do you think she was born in Tyrone?

Have you seen this link to Jane Anne's grave? LINK

I don't know why, as it is not inscribed on the headstone, her maiden name is shown as KEANE

On her marriage certificate is she single?

Checked on that and Jennie BANAHAN who married a KEANE died Jul 28 1986
So this is an error on the site

However I wonder was Jane Anne/Jennie older than Jim BANAHAN
especially as they don't seem to obviously have had children

Here's why
There is a 1911 census record for a QUINN family in Liscabble, Gortin, Tyrone
Where the father is Owen (very often also Eugene) and his wife is Jane Anne
They are listed with a daughter named Jennie

On the 1901 census Jennie was shown as Jane - LINK

Owen QUINN married Jane Anne MELLOY Nov 12 1891
Civil Record Reference OMAGH 1891 Q4 V2 P262

Birth of Jane Anne QUIN
Civil Record Reference OMAGH 1896 Q2 V2 P229

I know this makes her 15 years older than her husband but it is not impossible
You could check what age her death certificate showed (1960 should be 64 approx.)
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller

Hi Myluck
Yes it looks like a error on the site.
All the Quinn's on the 1901 census looks very Intresting.  ...as I did not know Eugene could also be know as Owen, so I have learnt something there😀. Now on Janes death certificate it states her age as 51 yrs? ....and yes Jane and her husband never had children.
Once again thank you so much for looking all the above up.

If the correct family...

Owen QUINN's father was Michael and he was from Tattykeel; aged 20 at marraige
Jane Anne MELLOY/MOLLOY's father was James and she was from Clonabogan; aged 22 at marriage
They married in Drumagh RC Parish Church, Omagh

1911 census states that they had 8 children of which 7 were alive
Between 1901 census and 1911 census we can see 7 names
and from the available records locate:

1 Margaret - I cannot locate and she is shown as 15 in 1901 which would be before the marriage?
2 Minnie possibly Mary b. Sep 05 1892
3 James b. Aug 12 1894
4 Jane Anne b. Apr 09 1896
5 Owen b. Jul 16 1897
6 Patrick b. Sep 28 1898
7 Elizabeth/Lizzie b. May 13 1901 d.? there is a 1901 death in Omagh that could prove a match
8 Elizabeth/Lizzie b. Sep 20 1902

I've known several ladies to lie about their age and carry it off until death!
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

Might be worth checking the church registers for the marriage and baptisms of children to see if there are any more clues.

Hi Myluck
Fathers name on the marriage certificate is Eugene and Moll crossed out and Quinn entered, so just maybe they were going to put Molloy?? ...now I wonder if that's the family. Thanks Myluck you could have found the answer as to why I couldn't find Jane.
