People have to have at least 2 posts to use the PM system, so Bhardie would need to post here again.
Thank shellyesq,
Would the person be notified of these recent posts?

Hi,

While you are waiting to make contact - the obituary for GENEVA E. HARDIE turned up.
A few names mentioned in it.
Would this help throw any further light on the person you are searching for I wonder ?

Hi Sandra,
I contacted the sister of G. Fratz as he said she was interested in the family history but is not computer savvy (his words). She never came back to me but apologised through him for not writing and that she had some health issues.
He did say that his mother Anna's brother Alexander Hardie had 3 children but unfortunately they haven't kept in touch. (this fits in with the obituary you kindly found)
I think Bhardie is part of this family. I don't have ancestry at the moment but have been trawling through familysearch.
Alexander and Geneva Schaeffer married in 31 January 1942 in Philadelphia County Pennsylvania. I can't find them in the 1950 census (free on FS) I don't even know if they stayed in Pennsylvania. That's why i was hoping Bhardie would see the post.

There was a Geneva Hardie mentioned in a 1950 City Directory - Philadelphia.  4226 Fairhl  ??
2 Alex Hardie but not at that address -

4226 Fairhill Street. Philadelphia was on the WW2 Draft Card for young men for Alexander Duncan Hardie

Happy New Year
