Trove search help

Before I order a marriage cert I had a look on the Trove site but did not find anything re a marriage in 1884 Glebe Sydney NSW. Could  someone please have a look and see if I missed any  mention of a marriage between William R Smith and Maria E Tarrant?

Have you considered using a transcription agent for your marriage certificate?  A cheaper option than purchasing a certified certificate.

I can't see a marriage notice for your couple in the NSW family notices during 1884.

I was going to go the agent route.
Know nothing re William but Maria may be Maria Edith Tarrant

I've had a look for your couple William R Smith and Maria E Tarrant but wasn't able to find them  using several different combinations of spellings, with and with middle initials but I wasn't able to locate anything sorry......

Thanks. I wanted to make sure that I did not miss them before I order the marriage cert. Just not sure if Maria is mine. Her brothers went from England to Australia and since I could find nothing for her I was wondering if she went with them

It actually helps us if you give all the information you do have on Maria.

That being when & where she was born, her parents & brothers names & when they arrived here.

Yes we may be able to help you with a NSW death as the informant will perhaps provide the parents names for Maria. Tricky as Smith!
