Monfa Tea Gardens
« on: Friday 09 October 15 23:21 BST (UK) »
does anybody know anything about Monfa Tea Gardens in LLanfairpwllgwyngyll. It was a wooden structure - possibly there in 1946 but would love to know where it was in the village and also when it closed. It seems very familiar (photos for sale on ebay) but I must have been tiny if it was there when I was a child.

Solved - this cafe was on the old site of Mr Carter's garage in Llanfairpwll and when I realised I knew it so well, the memories came back. Open every sunday afternoon, it was a haven for teenagers in the 1960's who could sit for a couple of hours with a milk shake or a pot of tea,  the photo I think was from 1946 which may be why I could not remember the parasols etc.
