(apologies for not replying as I was abroad)...Thats fantastic stuff thanks very much. My father told me Christopher was "laid out" in a sailors suit on the dresser...

A journalist friend sent me this reliable site....there are 200,000 people in the world with the surname of Hitler in the world today- but only 155 Mundows!

There  is a monument at the beginning of the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire and on many walks with my father he always pointed out to me that we were related to the "Edward Crowe" on the monument.

On going back over the earlier posts, I realize now that Edward Crowe is the son of my grandfather's twin sister Elizabeth.

The full story  its a shame that there is little info on Edward Crowe i looked for a baptism circa 1862 but could not find one.
