Yes. SA BDM have both Thomas and Ellen listed as Artand.

No link to Thomas Henry that I can see. No birth in Vic either.

The most interesting part of the obit for me links back to stories of my Nanna Simpson  staying at Struan House at times. Once again a chat with my mother is in order.

It says he's the second son of Thomas Henry.

He has two sisters Miss Ellen (Penola) and one I can't read and two brothers Julian and Leo

So the assumption is TH Artaud is Henry Simpson and he changed his name. Is this correct?
* I have checked shipping records ( as best I can) and birth records in England. The only Thomas H Artaud is a Thomas Haslope.
