Back on it today

Samuel Boyd 1862's dad was Hugh Boyd and found his their marriage his mother was May Cowan and her father was Samuel Cowan hence that's why all the Cowan surnames.

Hugh Boyd's dad was Robert Boyd hence Robert James.

Just need to see how far back i can go now

AS you have the address from the burial records of 118 Urney Street (Samuel Cown Boyd - died 1935)

And also David C Boyd of 90 Urney Street in 1939

That’s the right marriage record , I wondered how the cowans fitted in it looks like old mr Cowan remarried and had youngest kids same age as his daughters

There also seems to ne a Hugh Harbinson Boyd married to a Margaret Cowan - I wonder if there is any connection?
