Hello again,
The details for the next certificate are as follows,
Mary Nicol , married to William Nicol a ploughman
1867 May twenty (someting)
W.Balads (?)
60 years
James Ballingall, Labourer, deceased
Mary Ballingall M.S Mclaren deceased
William Nicol , son
Registered Kinross.
Also on the marriage certificate for Robert Haggart and Margaret Nicol one of the witnesses was a Maggie Mclaren. Could this possibly be the grandmother?
Molly
Molly,
Can you post a couple of the images where you have ? please for us to decipher.
W Balads? may mean Wester Balgedie?
Re witness Maggie McLaren, may well be her mother but know one will/would really know for sure. Quite unusual to have mother as witness although may well be but could also be a cousin or other relative so it would just be an assumption really.
