Hi Maria,

The entry reads:

Inner Wall C - east side, south end (All lairs cost £21.00)

Wall C, Lair No. 118

Wall Tablet - illegible, also small wall tablet to right - illegible
Robert Gilmour, flesher, 8th August 1925

I've attached a bird's eye view to show you where Wall C is and marked compass points. I imagine if both tablets were illegible when the survey was done, they'll be in an even worse state now.

If you are in a position to visit, the lair numbers are inscribed along the top of each wall and although you might not be able to read anything, with a bit of luck (and no ivy), the number will be visible.

Many thanks Anne.  Really appreciate the time you have put into this for me and my family.  I had expected it to be quite weathered by now.  What a fantastic feeling to find where your great x4, x3 and x2 great grandfathers lay.

I just need to find out Robert's standing in the Flesher Guild now.  He managed to leave £6,000 in his Will in 1827 and his inventory showed the City Hospital was due him over £100.  Family history slowly coming together.

Once again thank you.
Kind regards
Maria

Hi Kim.

I can't access my files at the moment - they're in the back of a cupboard as we're doing some decorating at the moment.

Once I can get hold of them, I'll have a look for you.

Anne  :)
