Sailing Barge Mate J. Wright

Looking for any BMD/Census data for J. Wright, b 1882 Kent.
Was crewman on Neepawa, Official No. 113711 first six months of 1915.
Trading in between the rivers Thames and Medway only.

The Master was a Henry Allen Handley 21 occ Waterman & Lighterman b Northfleet

Could be John Stanley Wright, the Master George Eves was born in Erith and lived in Greenwich.

Hi if the above is J Wright, then he looks to have been born June qtr 1882 4a 676 Stowmarket, Suffolk, the rest of his family in 1901 are born Stowmarket, Suffolk/Swanscombe, Kent living in Northfleet

All I can say then he was the only J Wright b c 1882 Kent in 1901 occ Mate or a similar occupation?

I have had no luck searching for J Wright before. The crew log could be incorrect for any number of reasons.

Hi possibly you are correct about John Stanley Wright not being J Wright b 1882 Kent, as their is a British Army Service record for a John Stanley Wright who gives his next of kin as Ellen Wright 50, Station Street, Northfleet his occupation was that of a Lead Burner when he signed up!!

I went back on the National Maritime Museum website last night and J Wright b 1882 Kent did not crew on any merchant vessel in the second half of 1915.

This leads to several possibilities:
   J Wright joined the RN or other military service
   Got a shore job
   The Neepawa crew list for Jan-Jun 1915 is not 100% accurate
   (G Eves is sparse with his records compared with other barge masters)
   Died etc.

Is there any date information for John Stanley Wright's British Army Service?
