Canada Liberal Govt REINSTATING Long Form census!!

I thought this might cheer up the Canadian Genealogists amongst us.

It was just posted on Yahoo an hour ago that Trudeau's Liberal government WILL be re-instating the LONG FORM census!!

More likely to have that effect on their grandchildren or great grandchildren I would have thought.

The few Canadian census-fillers I have in my tree were very good - it was interesting to know which ones could speak French, and the religion all nicely filled in - is that the sort of thing that "they" are bringing back?
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)
