Pescod in Harting, Sussex

I am looking in to the Peascod / Pescod family living in Harting, Sussex from 1600's to mid 1700's.

I have become stuck trying to establish who is the father of Thomas Pescod as there are 2 possibilities. The Thomas I am looking into was the father of Hannah Peascod, baptised 1741 who went on to marry William Bridle.

I can find a Thomas, son of William, baptised 26th Feb 1698
              & Thomas, son of Thomas, baptised 3rd Dec 1700

This would put either of these Thomas's as being 40/42 at the time of Hanna's baptism, which is a possibility as she had older siblings.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Christening Place   HARTING, SUSSEX
Burial Date   12 Dec 1700
Father's Name   Thomas Pescod

Thos. Pescod married Mary Houndsom 16 Sep 1731 Harting,Sussex

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.
