Hi folks

A little help please...

I have a marriage for the above lady. Not too sure about the  spelling of her surname I would appreciate your views, please.
Marriage:   26 December 1785   Aston Juxta Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.

To John Postins.

I found the marriage on Family Search and also on Ancestry, now looking for Elizabeth's birth
any help would be much appreciated...

Many thanks

Tom

Previous post on same subject to avoid duplication: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=705333.0

I see that the possible baptism in 1749 names her father as Joseph Burnidge.  Maybe just a coincidence but there is a 1761 apprentice record in Kidderminster for a Joseph Postins, with the master named as Joseph Burridge, occupation Weaver.

Its a transcript only, but Burnidge & Burridge would be difficult to tell apart.
MORGAN: Glamorgan, Durham, Ohio. DAVIS/DAVIES/DAVID: Glamorgan, Ohio.  GIBSON: Leicestershire, Durham, North Yorkshire.  RAIN/RAINE: Cumberland.  TAYLOR: North Yorks. BOURDAS: North Yorks. JEFFREYS: Worcestershire & Northumberland. FORBES: Berwickshire, CHEESMOND: Durham/Northumberland. WINTER: Durham/Northumberland. SNOWBALL: Durham.
