Kaess Family from the Neckar Valley (2019) Book Review
« Reply #81 on: Monday 30 October 23 00:26 GMT (UK) »
Kaess Family from the Neckar Valley (2019) by Brian Paul Kaess is virtually a manuscript in a register-style format that provides a useful blueprint of the Kaess Family in Germany and North America, and acts as a ground for further research. It traces the Kaess Family from its origins in SW Germany through the main Immigrant Ancestor Gerd Edwin Paul Kaess (1947-1972) who arrived in Chicago in 1965. He was born in Heutingsheim, Germany. Other lines of the Family, including a Dorschke/Drozdzok Silesian Line of the Prussian Parition,  are mentioned. In addition, allied Urbina/Pereda Mexican Family lines are explored as well.
The Book was written with the attitude that, 'If you don't write the Family Book now, it will never be written.' The Author, Brian Paul Kaess, has acted as a faithful Scribe for the family. 52 pages, including bibliography. It is available online at Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center and also Familysearch.org in their respective catalogs. Also, try paper copies at the Midwest Genealogy Center and Library of Virginia.
