Yes – Ellen married Stanley Gregory.
I did find Jared in 1851, and again not a joiner.
I also found the Jared in the papers. I even wondered if Ellen had used another name for her father if he was in the habit of getting into trouble.
The rest of the information you found is great, and the death of Jared in 1870 with Ellen Gregory confirms it all.
In 1871 Eleanor is back with Stanley and their family in Liverpool.
I noticed a few other Nicholsons from Holyhead living in Liverpool in some census years. They are probably related , but it was only James / Jared I was not sure about.
