Hi hope this is the correct thread I am looking for information about a Thomas Woodhouse born Sheffield 1823 He was in the army at  Colewort Barracks, Portsea Island, Portsmouth, Hampshire and I would like to know more about him while in the army. I know he went to Ireland where he married in 1843 and had children there, in Canada and back in Portsea. Hope some-one can help Thanks Babs Woodhouse

Can't find any army records for him but per the 1851 census he was a Private in the 82nd Regiment. This was an infantry regiment.

They were in Canada for 5 years from 1843-1848.
