Struggling to find out what happened to James Randall born in 1840 in Ecton and christened in Great Billing. His parents are George Randall and Rebecca Miller.
I've found a marriage for James to Elizabeth Bustin in 1863 in Great Billing - he is a shoemaker age 23 from Ecton, she is age 25 from Great Billing. A daughter Emma Miller Randal was christened in 1864 in Ecton and died a few months later. After this, I've lost trace of James and Elizabeth.
The spelling of their surname changes between Randall/Randell/Randal/Randel, and there may be even more spellings!
I'm keen to find out what happened to James, because he's the closest relative that I know little about. He is my great-grandmother's half-brother. I'm not sure either of them knew of the other's existence. She was from James's father's second marriage, and is 43 years younger than James.
