He could very well be a Yorkshire man. Remember Foggy Dewhirst of Holmfirth, in "Last of the Summer Wine".

Yes, well, West Bowling is part of Bradford, which is in Yorkshire.    ;D

On the other hand Dewhurst the Butchers originated in Lancashire ! So take your choice . :)
