Do you have the family on any census at all ? There don't seem to be any Church Baptisms in Kidwelly that fit the family. There is a family on the 1871 census living in Kidwelly but that Daniel was born in Aberdare.

I can't see Daniel on that reference  :-\    There is a Thomas family living in the household of David Fenwick - Mary 54, Elizabeth 22 & Thomas 16

Do you have Daniel on later census with wife Alice

Hi Rosie99

He's on the next page after the one you looked at. He's listed with the Merriman family which starts at the bottom of page 21.

Just writing that info

To the best of my knowledge they had emigrated to the US before the 1891 Census

The marriage took place in Porth Independent Chapel, Pontypridd district on 27 April 1882

Both bride and groom are listed as residing in Tylorstown

David Davies, father of the bride is specifically noted as deceased

One of the witnesses is David Thomas whom I believe to be the grooms father and the other is Eliza J Merriman, daughter of the Merriman family he lodged with

Thanks
Rich
