Maynard marriage lookup please? Wokingham

Charles Maynard married Elizabeth [I believe Mulford?] about 1833.
First child born about 1835.

If I could have correct surname for Elizabeth and date please?

Mulford appears to just be a poor transcription of the surname Maynard from the 1841 census entry

Somebody who appears to have an interest in the family reported the error to Ancestry in 2008

A tree on Ancestry showing son Charles b 1836 shows mother as Elizabeth Sadgrove

Hi Di,

I think you will find the mar. was on 1-5-1836 in All Saints Wokingham and, as Carole has said, her surname is listed as Sadgrove.

But on Anc...y "England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 [database on-line]" they have a  Elizabeth Sadgrove as being bapt... 29-8-1819 in Tilehurst  - could be more than one Elizabeth Sadgrove around.

The various censuses all say she was born in Wokingham although the 1841 says Mulford (corrected to Maynard),   remainder say Maynard.

Thanks Alan and Carol, much appreciated.  I am finding Fichampstead so hard to research. I have been spoilt by Cornwall having so much online.
One more question if I can? was there some kind of sickness outbreak in July 1863? My g.grandfathers 3 sisters all died as children between the 1st and 11th of that month.
I know cholera was around that time.

Re: Elizabeth's maiden name.  They had children born after 1837 so a copy of one of the birth certs will confirm if it was Sadgrove
