One of the witnesses has Anna and Sophia in her string of names and from her surname guess she was related to the bride.

Looks like one of the witnesses of the wedding was the bride's sister who was named (amongst other names) Anna Sophia.

Was it possible that this witness was a Godmother to Evelyn, and her name was entered on the baptism in error?

The sponsors (godparents?) are Bertram Goddard and Mary Jane Price. But there still could have been a mix up with the names when the record was made.

Would that have been a rare occurance or did it happen fairly frequently

If that's the case it explains why I've never found her baptism until now, and that was by fluke ::) ::) ;D

There were always the possibilities for errors in the PR's, Baptismal and Burial entries were not always made at time time, some times they were done later, either from memory or from a notebook.
