My Lucy Amelia does indeed have a sister called Elizabeth Alice born in 1890... it seems I never found anything more for her, until now apparently!  :D

All that adds up apart from one thing; Nora. Does that mean Archibald married twice?

No I don't think so - perhaps misunderstood the accent - Laura - Nora - quite similar.  Nora reverted to Laura on the incoming so same person.

1940 US Census there is an Annie Waller (? ) living with Lucy and her husband in Buffalo.  She is a sister-in-law to Martin.  Lucy did have a sister Annie Kathleen Clyde.  Two young boys are also with Annie.  Robert 6 born England and Kenneth 5 born Canada.  There is a border crossing 08 July 1939 at Buffalo for Annie Kathleen.  It states her husband was William.  I can't find any British marriage for her.  Not sure that the last name is Waller.  Canadian births in the 1930s are protected under privacy laws so wouldn't be able to find any information on Kenneth's birth.
