Their address is listed as Latchford and Thomas Bate was a tanner

Thank you so much Kay99 - that helps a lot as its shows he was a Tanner prior to 1881 census - I was questioning whether his occupation on that census was wrong - as he has been shown as Basket/Hamper/Skip maker everywhere else
