Newspaper LookUp - 17 December 1945
« on: Sunday 27 December 15 21:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Anyone have access to the Newspaper library at Caernarvon Archives?
I have a relative who died on the 17th December 1945. He lived in Clynnof Fawr as a farmer in Cil Coed Isaf, but I believe he was born in Llannor. Ant funeral information would be great to receive, I'm trying to find his resting place.

many thanks

neil

Doah. I name would help wouldn't it?

He was Thomas Roberts. He moved to His farm in the early 1890s with his wife Anne so was there for c 50 years and must have been well known in the community.

Last column top 2nd paragraph (in Welsh) - Basically says Registering Lodgers. Appeared in the County Court in Saturday accused (along with several others from Clynnog), of failing to keep a list of lodgers lodging in their house. They all swore that they were unable to obtain the relevant forms. They were ordered to pay costs and the Chairman noted that every post office should be supplied with the forms
