Help with Joseph Twigg please
« on: Monday 28 December 15 22:16 GMT (UK) »
I have found a baptism on 29 December 1765 at Hanbury St Werburgh. Father Charles, Mother Elizabeth. This fits with the area where the family seem to be.  The problem is his marriage.  I have found 2 possible marriages and not sure how to decide.

31 Aug 1788 to Sarah Hudson at Hanbury St Werburgh

14 Oct 1788 to Ann Nash at Stafford.

Any thoughts please

I may be able to help with the Stafford marriage. A Joseph Twigg was admitted as a freeman of Stafford on 7th July 1756 (by birth and would have been aged 21 yrs) he appeared as a councillor with his father, also Joseph Twigg, on the front page of the 1765 Poll book.
