American Civil War 23rd Illinois Regt.Ottawa Guards H Company
« on: Wednesday 30 December 15 11:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Can anyone let me know Civil War battles that H Company fought in during the American Civil War.

I looked up the Regiment's History and am trying  to find out where  H Company (Ottawa Guards).were during the war.

There appears to be a fair bit on the other company's.My relative was Captain of H Company Captain Charles Coffey {Coffee!}.

Any info would be great

Probably you found the 'Illinois in the Civil War' web page.

http://civilwar.illinoisgenweb.org/index.html

There is a contact address for the project coordinator [Jim Willison] at the bottom of the home page.  Maybe he could point you to specific information about the activities of Company H.
