Laura Casey, b1857?
« on: Wednesday 30 December 15 18:54 GMT (UK) »
In doing my son-in-law's tree, I have got stuck at this lady!

She married Frederick William Whitland (on most censuses, Whittam) on 18th April 1874, at Tong church, in Birstal, Yorkshire.
Both declared themselves to be 21 years of age.
Laura's father was George Casey, a farmer.

On the 1911 census (by now in Failsworth, Lancashire) she is 54 years old, born in Ipswich.

On the 1901 census (in Failsworth), she is 45, and born in Great Ashfield (presumably Suffolk, although Yorkshire is ditto'd from the line above!).

On 1891 (in Failsworth) she is 35, born Suffolk.

In 1881 (in Warley, Yorkshire), she is 25, born Great Ashfield.

But, so far I have failed to find her between birth and the marriage?
Can anbody shed any light, please? ;D

Thanks; both of you! ;D
Certainly worth thinking about.

I was stupidly only looking at Bury St Edmunds district!

I blame having 5 grandchildren running about! ;D :-[
