Thomas Bate death Chester
« on: Thursday 31 December 15 12:52 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I have been looking for an email address for the Registration Services covering Chester to try and ascertain if any of the following give hints at being mine

1st ¼  1920 Chester  8a 448   age 71
2nd ¼  1930 Chester  9a 484  age 76

Thomas Bate born sometime between 1850 and 1854 Warrington - married to Marian Kate Bate - occupation Basket Maker.

Is it possible to look at death certificates at Cheshire ?

Carrol

As far as I'm aware you have to purchase certificates and can't just look at them. If you are lucky, a register office may tell you the person doesn't fit, but probably wont give any details.

Is this site any good?
