Pearl E. Yates was born on 17 August 1900 in Marquette County, Wisconsin.  Her parents were George H. Yates and Elizabeth Hartwell.  She was last seen on the 1920 census in Los Angeles, California where she was living with her uncle William Wilbert Yates and his wife Cora; she was 19, single, with no occupation.  [William Wilbert Yates was mistakenly recorded on this census as William, Wilburt W.].

Thanks, dbreeze.  That's her.  I've found her in 1930 and she's even got her widowed mother with her.

Interesting family.  Frank Brigante was the brother of Nicholas P. Brigante, a California artist.  Pearl had moved well beyond Packwaukee, Wisconsin.
