Missing little Smiths
« on: Saturday 23 January 16 12:41 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Anyone fancy a challenge?
I'm looking for the whereabouts of the following three children of James Smith and Elizabeth Davis/Davies born in Burntwood .

Charles Richard Smith 1871 married Mar 1894 a widow Elizabeth Kate Wassall and had a son Cuthbert Charles Louis Smith  1897 and the family are at the Summer House  Chorley staffs 1901.She and Cuthbert are running a newsagents in the Peak district in 1911 but no sign of Charles.

Mary Ann Smith  born 1875 last seen 1891 census in Burntwood with father and brothers James and Thomas.

James born 1880
last seen 1901 Croxton as a butcher's apprentice age 20 born Ogley Hay

They are all supposed to have died before their father's death in 1918 according to Henry my great grandfather and their older brother but I wouldn't believe that because he was also sure all his brothers died in the same mining accident.(the eldest dies in the local Asylum in 1914).

Any sightings appreciated
Sorry I can't get rid of the bold.
