Photocopy restoration Arthur Cox and wife Harriet circa 1898 Reading
« on: Sunday 24 January 16 05:19 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Is it possible to spruce up this picture of my 2x great grandparents. Only a photocopy and I don't know where the original is.

Thanks Brian

Thank you japeflakes and Pat for your work on my photo.

I tend to like your first attempt japeflakes as it preserves more of the detail. Losing the background does not seem to add anything to the photo.

Pat I think "smoothing" the picture made it look more like a photo than a photocopy but it came at the expense some detail.

Possibly a little colour may help the detail either on the original background or on the sitters.

I certainly didn't give you much to work with. I applaud your efforts.

Thankyou Brian

Thanks Terry:

I kind of like the tint and the compact view of your first attempt.

Martyn

I like the colouring on the suit on dress. But poor Harriet looks kind of scary.

Brian ;)
