Cold Harbour Bletchley
« on: Sunday 31 January 16 19:36 GMT (UK) »
For some silly reason i've been looking at the residents of this farm in MK which was lost to the MK development, even though it has no connection to my ancestors whatsoever.

Anyway, if anyone has a connection to Cold Harbour farm, or some history nuggets they would be happy sharing please get in touch.

The farm was near Shenley Brook End and is now under Furzton pavillion and lake.

Mike

Just found this question after searching for the same info. Just wondered if you ever found any info on this farm at all ?

I live very close by, and would love to see any photos or info, but so far haven’t found a single thing.

Shenley used to have an active local history group but they appear to no longer exist.

Maybe MK Archives in the Central Library have some information or the MK City Discovery Centre.

There are also a few mentions on old newspapers, the earliest I can see is 1838 when it was for sale following the death of the Rev Primatt KNAPP.

If you have access to newspaper archives try searching under "Cold Harbour Farm shenley" to start with - there are a few farms of that name.

If you don't have access to old newspapers, I'm happy to send you some items. Drop me a personal message, although you will need to make 3 posts before having access to the pm system. Simply replying here a couple of times should do it.  :)
