I see he was younger than her   :)

Death gives his birth date as 16 January 1921.  Using that information in 1939 Free index he is in Taunton RD - also in the property was Sidney J Foxwell bn 1890 & Winifred M Foxwell bn 1888. They married in 1920  :)

If Charlie did not die until 1971 she was only on her own until 1986.  There is no evidence at the moment that she was living with anyone other than Charlie before he died is there  :-\

The 1939 Register was NOT a census! ;D
A census is a snapshot taken on a specific day.

The 1939 Register was started in 1939 as a National Register, and kept updated with changes until 1990.
