Alexander Tuplin 1845 Market Stainton
« on: Friday 05 February 16 20:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,
I am trying to find out the parents of Alexander Tuplin who was born 1845 Market Stainton. He married Fanny Burton in 1867.
There seems to be a number of Alexander's born at a similar time and I'm getting confused!
I have also found some family trees but they don't seem to agree.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Vicky

I can't see anything definite as yet.  :-\

1871 census, they have a lodger Thomas BRODDLE

There was this marriage, might have some connection-

Marriages Dec 1843
BRODDEL    Mary        Horncastle    14   723
TUPLIN    David        Horncastle    14   723
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Have you got the marriage certificate to Fanny?  That will give his fathers name as a starting point and the witness names might be family members too.

I can only see one birth registration between 1843-1847 that fits which is below so you could send for that one

Mar 1844
Horncastle 14 433
Tuplin Alexander
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos

I think he may have been born as Alexander Tuplin TRAVES.

With father David and mother Mary in 1851 as TRAVES.
