HOPWOOD/SUTTON Immigration

George and John appear to arrive Sydney 18 Dec 1884 as George Sutton and son,aboard "Sorata".We have their lives in NSW to their deaths.

Also on the ship's manifest, an Emily SUTTON.

I had seen Emily but had ignored her as i was still looking for Isabella.
I have this query on Durham board also,helper there has found George,John and Emily in 1881 census in Mile End Old Town transcribed as DUTTON.Their marriage in 1879 has a couple of inconsistencies but will follow that up.

Fellow researcher has the death certificate,just needs to find where she filed it.

Could you check probate packet for George Preston Sutton,died 26 Jul 1930,probate granted 2 Oct 1930,number  53041.

Hmmm but I'm not seeing a probate record on the site http://investigator.records.nsw.gov.au/ or a deceased estate file.
Perhaps I should try again in the morning ... getting a bit sleepy ...

There's a copy of the Will on FindmyPast:

169948  Sutton George Preston late of Flemington accountant
 Of *ibbes Street Reckdale after payment of all just debts funeral and testamentary expenses bequeath to my wife Emily Sutton all my real and personal estate dated 4th day of February 1890.

Signed in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses Wm Henry Brogden. Frank Oswald Starkey

2nd October 1930 On this date Letters of Administration(with the Will annexed) were granted to Emily Sutton of Flemington, the Widow of the said deceased and the sole beneficiary named in the said will. Testator died on 26th July, 1930. Estate sworn £850/8/0.Net

Sorry, I'm a bit lost here    - is this death cert for Isabella or George?

And is the "Flemington" mentioned in George's probate (listed by sfg28, reply #15) in NSW or Victoria?
