The sister of the David you mention was Ann Rose, she married a James Milne in Ardclach and moved to Australia. She would be my 3rd G Grandmother.

    It would also be worth seeking if you don’t already have the publication of their family by the Misses Rose, the National Library of Scotland may have a copy, or the Scottish Genealogy Society, just nearby.
   Well worth reproving every link as Forfarian suggests. It’s very easy to make mistakes, I keep finding documents in my own tree which disprove previous assumed families.

The document is the history of Alexander a son of 8th Baron Hugh Rose.

We believe our branch descends from Alexander's brother who was John Rose 1st of Bellivat.
