Dunstan of Stithians/Trolvis/Mabe
« on: Wednesday 10 February 16 18:00 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
I am trying to identify the maiden surname of Elizabeth, who wed James Dunstan, possibly in the above area in early 1810s. They had several children in the above area, the last being Richard, born early 1837 - too early for a Birth Certificate. Elizabeth was stated as aged 45 in the 1841 Census. I could not find the family in 1851 (which would have told me her place of birth), I did in 1861 but Elizabeth died in Stithians in 1859 aged 68, so born about 1791 (if age at death is correct).
There are marriages of a few James Dunstans to Elizabeths but I cannot identify which one, if any, is the above Elizabeth.
Any help in identifying Elizabeth's maiden surname would be most appreciated.
Bors
