Hi,

James & Joyce CRUMPTON, with several children, are in Wooton on both the 1841 and 1851 census. The 1841 fiche is very faint.
Will send it direct to you as soon as it's typed up.

Thanks Gwynne; could I just confirm with you though that Joyce, who was widowed by 1861, was married to a James?

That confirmation would help enormously as it means I can tie them to a sibling of my direct ancestor.

regards
Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes. James was married to Joyce/Joice.
As per the 1841 and 1851 census now sent to direct to you, they had at least 4 children including a son James.
The marriage of James CRUMPTON to Joice MARTIN at Quatt Malvern on 1 Aug 1808 is on the IGI.
Also on the IGI is the Christening of at least 8 children to James & Joice CRUMPTON at Quatt Malvern.
