I see that in 1911 He was living at 12, Motherby hill, Lincoln.

have just found this from Lincolnshire Echo dated 9th June 1908.
EXTON, from Rutland, Stamford, Boston, Lincoln. LANES, from Coleby,to Bracebridge Lincoln.WAKEFIELD,PROUDMAN Cheshire and  Stafford.<br />PINDAR, MOORE, ,CHAMBERS mostly from Lincolnshire.
LAING from Elgin ,Scotland.
 HADDELSEY from Caistor,and Grimsby Lincolnshire.                   
 Parfitt, Le Gros ,Le Sueur, from Jersey.
Martin, from Doncaster  to whelyn garden city, London.
BINT, Worchester, in Australian mint.

I see it was his son also named John William Holden born 1876, a solicitors clerk,

must have been a little bit cross at his parents house  ???
