Jarvis Mapstone Northiam Sussex
« on: Thursday 18 February 16 12:08 GMT (UK) »
In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Wills, 1384-1858, there is one for a Jarvis Mapstone of Northyham,(Northiam) Parish 1654. I would be very interested in any details of Jarvis or if transcripts of the Parish are available. As the Mapstones seem to have originated in Somerset, I would like to know what the connection is to Sussex.

It looks as though the name should be Maplestone, as there is a Maplestone Farm, Northiam Road.

Thank you for that information, at least it means I can forget about any Mapstones being in Sussex.
