I though I would take advantage of the freebie being offered to try and find where an elusive branch of my tree has been hiding before 1891 but I am even more confused now than ever.
I have:
Census 1901 Elizabeth Esler Widow age 53 with Edward Rumsey son-in-law and daughter Mina relation to head of house Mother in Law in Brown Street Macclesfield
Census 1891 Elizabeth Esler is Head of House aged 43 Married with daughters Isabella Johnson and Mina (where is father) in Bond Street Macclesfield employed as a gimp weaver.
from there they disappear
I see that Isabella was born in Belfast Ireland and Mina was born in Macclesfield.
Elizabeth gives her birthplace as Macclesfield.
When did she go to Ireland, I assume she must have married there as the first child was born there. I have her maiden name as Marron, can't find where I got that from but think I may be wrong considering her daughters middle name of Johnson. I also think Elizabeth's husbands name was John (in a move a box of my research got water damaged so I am taking this info from my online tree)
I would be happy just to find them in a census as a family and confirm Elizabeth's maiden name. I have got myself so muddled and the results I am getting are not helping...not much from Ireland
