Hi again Kate,
I know it maybe not the right cemetery I should be looking in, but just in case I wonder if you are able to check for any LONGFORDS in your Grave Inscriptions for Deansgrange Blackrock, Co. Dublin

John Henry Longford
Helen Longford (nee Wilson) wife of above
Francis Louis Longford
Charles Richard Longford
Sisters were Harriette and Florence Helen but of course these may have been married and as yet I don't know anything about them.

Thank you
Mary

Hi Kate
I've been searching for info on my grandfather for many moons, with little luck.

He may well be at rest at Blackrock.
His name was Peter Dobbins (Dobbyns). He died, I am told, in Nov 1955.

The inscription should give his birth year, which still eludes me !  (middle to late 1880's I believe)
I would appreciate any info you can find on him or any under the Dobbins name.

Thank you
Jard

Dear Kate,

I have a 3xgreat grandfather, James TIGHE who was recorded as being born in Dublin 1813 and I was hoping  ;D that there may be a baptismal record for him.

He was tried in Dublin City 2nd January 1832, convicted and sentenced to seven years transportation to Australia, wherelse  ??? He was sent out on the vessel Dunvegan Castle arriving in 1832.

No other Irish info available on the gent. His Australian family consisted 3 boys who were called James, William and Patrick.

Sorry about the vagueness.

Many thanks
Colonial Boy

Kate, I wonder if you could please find the time to search for any information about:

James Henry Blyth Kearney/Kerney/Kierney

He says that he was born in Dublin.  According to his marriage certificate, he was born c.1839 but in the 1881 census he was born c.1843.
Father's name was James Kearney 'Gentleman'.  This has always intrigued me as Joseph was just a humble painter and decorator but I'm unable to find anymore about him.

Many thanks for any information.

Hi Kate, it's Sue in Kent again.  Sorry!  I've given you the wrong name - it's Joseph Henry Blyth Kearney, not James - I got confused with his father.  ;)
