How sure are you that Albert Poole is the father.
I can see him being the father of Constance but there's no indication he was ever in B'ham.

Strange that you may ask that. I suppose their is a doubt over Albert being the father. What I do know is that all of Arthur's younger brothers and sisters also took the name Wood, due to Albert already being married. When his wife eventually died, all the children then took Poole as a surname with the exception of Arthur. In terms of the connection of Albert Poole and Margaret Wood with Birmingham, that has always been an unknown as the family clearly had their roots in Liverpool. However, Albert was a music hall artiste and Margaret a choral singer so they seemingly toured the country a fair bit. So I have put the Birmingham connection down to that.

Looking at Freebmd between April and September the only Arthur Wood to be born in the Birmingham area is that Arthur Henry. There is no Walter Wood born in the area either. I wonder if he just wasn't registered?

It's looking like this could be a strong possibility.

It depends whether you want to take a chance on ordering it. You could say that you only want it if the mother's name is Margaret.
