Matthew was born in 1902.
According to the 1930 census, Matthew came to the US in 1925.  His wife and children followed a year later.  His brother, Patrick, arrived in 1930.  Matthew was working for a flour company and lived on Jordan Way, in the 10th ward.  Brother Patrick was living with them along with two Irish boarders.
