Gas fitters
« on: Monday 18 July 05 10:08 BST (UK) »
Hi all.

I've been tracing the Wood side of my family and they have occupations as gas workers and fitters. The family seems to always be on the move. Do you think this is due to the nature of their occupations or something else?

Thanks very much

It is possible, as towns and cities changed from oil/candle power to gas lighting, that they followed the work.
