I do know that James Greer married Elizabeth Wilson in Woolwich in 1846.

I am looking for anything on his parents. on the marriage certificate his father in named as Thomas Greer occupation given as watchmaker.

James had a brother john who it indicates on the census as being born in Dublin in 1813.

 I cannot find anything regarding his father.

There are no baptism records in East Stonehouse (Church of England) for the name GREER/GRIER. Could the family have been Catholic?
