Good hunting!!  Plus if they died England just put Surname and England in and search

It was unfruitful but I had a fascinating time doing the search because I found that relevant results also came up when I simply entered a Welsh town instead of a "County" as requested.  I got a surprise when I discovered that there's also a "Newport" in Fifeshire, Scotland aswell.

To update, it was indeed the correct Thomas, marriage info obtained, parents named the same as 1851 extract.

So pleased you found the correct one.

Spurred on by your post I made a renewed effort with my "missing" Irish McCarthy's and last night sent off for a couple of death certs.  So thanks for opening this thread  :)
