Hope someone can assist.
I am looking for early information on one of my ancestors.
She was born Hannah Jones in c.1830 daughter of Thomas a labourer.
When she married my ancestor on the 22nd may 1859 in Wrexham. She was just 25 and a widow with two children Elizabeth Pierce born c.1855 and William born 1857 stansty.

This is all I know about Hannah and the children. Can anyone help with the bigger picture please???

Hi, when she married John Salisbury 28th May 1859 Brymbo Hannah was a Widow aged 25 John 30 her father was Thomas Jones occ Labourer, their was an earlier possible marriage which could accommodate the two children on 1861 census?
RG09/4284/28/24, Children Elizabeth Pierce aged 8 b Hope William aged 6 b Stansty

James Pierce to possibly Hannah Jones Dec qtr 1852 Wrexham 11b 549
Is this the marriage/couple/census you are referring to?

The difficulty we have as far as any possible Census entry is that the 1841 Census for the area is missing.It is highly likely that Hannah would have been possibly a Servant in 1851.

As a side issue to this;Have you found any link between your Salisbury family from the area and the Salisbury family that came to the area originating in the  Halkyn area of Flintshire?

Hi again, have you noted that William Pierce/Pearce b c 1855 was adopted by a Robert Maddock/s & Hannah Roberts who married 8th June 1840 Brymbo?

Do you know why?

Can anyone check the marriage of Hannah Jones to Mr pierce???. Also I believe William married Amelia Thomas. Still haven't got any concrete facts.x

So you have doubts that the marriage of a Hannah Jones to possibly James Pierce in Wrexham 1852 is the correct one?

A little.
Fact I know Williams mother Hannah married John Salisbury. And I have found William living with his mother and step father in the census. A connection has given the details of the wedding to Salisbury.... Given name as Hannah pierce a 25yr old widow. Maiden name Jones. But that is all in have concrete.

Hi again highly likely she married James Pierce, as if I recall the 1861 has Pool Mouth,  Stansty as address :-

Burial 28th March 1857 Gwersyllt James Pierce aged 34 abode Pool Mouth, Stansty
